Equestrian Inspired Den Project

When my stylish friend and owner of a local specialty fashion and gift boutique, wanted to redesign her den, we put our heads together to come up with a cozy, mountain retreat-inspired space that would also give a nod to her days of competitive riding.

Quarry Road Project

We transformed this 1980’s Colonial eyesore into a beautiful, light-filled home that's completely family friendly. Opening up the floor plan eased traffic flow and replacing dated details with timeless furnishings and finishes created a clean, classic, modern take on 'farmhouse' style. All cabinetry, fireplace and beam details were designed and handcrafted by Teaselwood Design..

Teaselwood Home

Our goal with the restoration of this 1840’s farmhouse (which just so happens to be our own!): Keep the character of the home’s original features, but with all the amenities of modern living. We especially wanted to keep this kid- and dog-friendly, and integrate as much storage as possible.

Summer House Project

When a family with a summer home on the lake asked us to turn their existing fishing shack into a bunk house hangout on the water’s edge, the biggest challenge was creating a new space that looked as though it had been there for years. To do this, we made sure the exterior matched the existing house and added lake-friendly finishes. We also created a pergola and cooking area for family entertaining, complete with a custom table and benches.

Academy Playroom Project

When a busy family asked us to create a playroom for their 3 little girls, we jumped at the chance. Using kid-friendly surfaces and material, we built a nook for games, arts and crafts and made sure there was lots of storage for toys and games. The result? A bright, kid-focused space that the girls love spending time in, yet still blends in seamlessly with the rest of the home.

Traditional / Boho Living Space Update

Our client for this living room remodel has a traditional style with a distinct boho streak – and we used her unique style to transform what was a ho-hum room. Our custom built-ins for toys and books flank the existing fireplace. The added storage, plus a reading area and new furniture and rugs make this a perfect space for a busy family.

Victorian Lake Project

This project revived a traditional 1800’s cottage village house, transforming it into the original Victorian beauty that it once was. We updated the kitchen with new doors and an island, and created a warm and cozy space in the den. To top it off, we turned the entire attic into a master retreat with the best lake views in the house.

1800s Farmhouse Guest Room

When our clients’ daughter moved out, they asked us to turn her room into a more versatile guest room that she would still feel at home in when she visited. Since the rest of the home is a beautiful, lovingly restored farmhouse, we created a bright classic room that is in keeping with the traditional feel of the house, yet fresh enough to delight their daughter every time she comes home.

Luchsinger Lane Project

We took a builder-basic home and infused it with character and life by adding the right window treatments, furniture and accessories. We choose a shabby-chic distressed look that perfectly complemented the style of our client, a spunky local boutique owner. The result was a lovely (but not too feminine!) space that’s perfect for her busy family… with no builder-basic vibe in sight.

Boutique Hotel: Hotel Skyler

This hotel design project – Syracuse’s first LEED Platinum hotel – was focused on turning a run-down temple into a welcoming and memorable boutique hotel.

Throughout the space, we balanced an industrial minimal minimalism with soothing organic touches, creating custom carpet, furniture and fabrics to ensure a one-of-a-kind aesthetic.

Boutique Hotel: Parkview Hotel

When a medical arts building was converted into a boutique hotel, we were asked to create a welcoming space that honored its roots. We used a rich color palette, lots of texture, and a precise attention to detail to create funky and eclectic spaces in keeping with the storied past of this historic building.

Boutique Hotel: Tailwater Lodge

Walking into the lobby of this boutique hotel, you’d never know that when we started with it, it was an elementary school. During its conversion into a world-class fishing lodge, we incorporated lots of natural materials, strategically-chosen lighting, and lodge-inspired décor. The result is a completely transformed space – rustic, modern, and luxurious all at the same time.
