A Totally Straightforward Explanation of What It Really Costs to Furnish a Room

****We love this post so much and it seemed to have gotten buried so we have updated it with some new content that we feel is so valuable to new and old clients. ****

Most people get a bit uneasy when we start talking about how much money is needed to accomplish their interior design project so it looks and feels the way they want it to. It's totally understandable - we don't like to talk about money either! But often, their apprehension comes from simply not knowing what to expect in terms of how much everything that goes into their dream design actually costs. Their confusion is only compounded by unclear design budgets that make it difficult for them to figure out what kind of furnishings they can afford—and how much they actually want to spend.

Getting crystal clear on all of this information right from the start of a design project is key to everyone’s overall happiness! Working with a clear and established budget for your project allows us, your interior design team, to create your dream space without the drama of unexpected expenses or disappointed expectations, and which also means it allows you, the homeowner, to rest easy and truly enjoy the process.

Because we believe in transparency, we’re about to unveil what interior design projects actually cost...

...and the three budget levels homeowners follow most often. For the sake of example, we're pricing out a traditional living room and a dining room at three different budget levels.

Note: There are times in a project when we may suggest items that exceed your budget. This doesn’t mean you have to take our suggestion. It only means that we want you to be aware of your additional options and that we don’t want to lock you into a certain budget category.
